Dh23m kindergartens project completed


The Dubai Municipality has recently completed its kindergartens project worth Dh23 million in Al Warqa’a and Al Bashra areas. Al Warqa’a is located southeast of Dubai Creek while Al Bashra is situated in west Dubai, south of Al Sufouh.

The project is in alignment with the municipality’s eagerness in offering environments which are conducive to children’s learning, help them in sharpening their skills and equip them with the essential qualifications.    

Director-general of Dubai Municipality, Eng Hussain Nasser Lootah shared his thoughts regarding the project that municipality always puts a keen focus on providing facilities and services to each area during its planning phase.

Kindergartens project

Each kindergarten constitutes of ten classrooms, activities hall, multi-purpose hall, waiting room for parents, air-conditioned indoor rubber floor playing area, outdoor playing area which has several games for children, canteen, staff room, meeting room and many other facilities.

According to Mr Lootah, the project is aimed to bolster the educational sector in Dubai by providing an adequate learning environment to the children. He further commented that by investing in the future generations, the municipality is equipping them with necessary capabilities and skills to aid in UAE’s further development.

Green development strategy

Each of the kindergartens is built following the green building specifications and covers an area of 26,000 sq ft.

The municipality’s actions are in line with the green development strategy launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and the Ruler of Dubai..

Kindergartens project is also in alignment with the national initiative – launched in 2012, which aims to make UAE one of the leading countries in green economy and export and re-export hub for green products.
