Marvel’s 13th movie and the third in the Captain America series, titled Captain America: Civil War recently broke the world record by earning over a billion dollars in less than two months after its release across the globe.
Now isn’t that huge! Yes, it is for all Marvel Universe fans as it has now been crowned as the official top grossing Marvel film during the first quarter of this year according to screen crush
The classic all-star superhero movie surpassed this billion dollar record mark recently and became the 25th film to reach this milestone in just 24 days after its release.
Komo news reports that other similar superhero movies such as The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Iron Man 3 grossed around $1.2 billion, $1.4 billion and $1.2 billion worldwide respectively.
Other critically acclaimed Marvel movies released during the first quarter of 2016 were Deadpool and Batman v Superman: Dawn of the Justice, which earned around $750 billion and $900 million more than two months after its release respectively.
